I graduated from FHC in 1970 and have so many wonderful memories of friends, classes and teachers.
It has been my joy to teach here since 1982. I enjoy teaching graduate and undergraduate classes in the School of Education.
I lived in Dixon dorm when I was a student here. It is so exciting to see the growth that has gone on at Freed Hardeman University.

In June of 2011 I became a Qualified Observer as I successfully completed the training of the NIET iniative.

I enjoyed teaching for first grade for nine years and have been in Teacher Education since 1982. I began teaching graduate education in 1994. I was an adjunct teacher and part time teacher for the School of Education from 1994 until 2009. In 2009 I returned to teach full time in the School of Education. I enjoy teaching graduate and undergraduate students now.
Other Experience
I conduct inservice training for area school systems.I also teach Ladies Bible class and Children's Bible Hour and enjoy speaking at Ladies' Day events.
Currently I am serving on the Academic Affairs Committee.
Also, I am co-writing Standard One of the NCATE reaccrediatation report with Dr. Cypress.
I successfullly went through the Tennessee Department of Education's training for the TEAM iniative in June of 2011 and June 2012.
I spoke at the Freed Hardeman lectureship in February 2012 on I John 1:7,"Walking in the Light."
