I am Texas born and raised. I moved to Henderson, TN, to teach at Freed-Hardeman University. After living here for a while, I began to study my family genealogy. My mom was pretty sure that my great grandfather Stone was born in the general area. Alas, he was born right here in Henderson. My great great great grandfather and his family are buried behind a friend of mine's farm. My great great great great grandmother and some of her family and in-laws are buried in a small family cemetery about two miles from my house. My great great great great great grandmother is buried beside her.
