In
my research, teaching, and preaching, I am particularly interested in
biblical exegesis. Fortunately, my work at FHU allows me to teach
Greek, New Testament Introduction, and text courses in both Old and New
Testaments. Throughout the centuries whenever the church has been
threatened by shallow theology, apathy, or cultural trends, biblical
exegesis has been a powerful resource for renewal, reform, and
restoration. Learning to listen to the text continues to be an
exciting and challenging discipline.
My wife Kayla and I
have three children: Jacob, Emily, and Anna. We have served
churches in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas, and we are very glad to
have returned home to Henderson and to the Estes Church of
Christ. Through the Estes congregation I am also involved in
missions to Haiti, and I regularly participate in short-term campaigns
there.
