I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in '99 with a BS degree in Mathematics and the equivalent of a minor in Computer Science. I completed a year of graduate work in Mathematics at Tennessee Technological University the following year. In the summer of 2000, I accepted a position to teach at Freed-Hardeman University. At the same time, I began work on my MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Memphis. I studied databases, data mining, neural networks, and human and computer interaction. I completed my MS degree in '03.
With my background, I am able to teach both math and computer classes. I enjoy having the diversity of material and students. My favorite subjects include programming, calculus, and discrete structures, which combines both math and computer science topics.
