Elizabeth Ann Saunders has been a teacher at Freed-Hardeman University since 1978. She is Director of the Graduate Studies in Education Program and Professor of Education. Her major interests include literacy development, corrective and remedial reading, educational strategies, educational psychology, professional development as one of the State of Tennessee's Cadres for the Reading First Grant, supervision of student teachers, and administrative duties in the Graduate Studies in Education Program.

Her outside interests are participating in activities contributing to spiritual growth, health and exercise programs, community service, mission campaigns and traveling to various countries.
