David L. Lipe was born at Charleston, Mississippi, onHe has been teaching Bible and Humanities since 1990. He is the Director of the annual Bible Lectureship at Freed-Hardeman, a position he has held since 1994. In February, 2003 he was selected for the rank of Distinguished Professor by the FHU Board of Trustees.
He is married to the former Linda Wilson of
David has been preaching since 1967. He has done local work in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. He has been involved in various mission campaigns in at least five foreign countries. He currently serves as one of the ministers for the Bethel Springs Church of Christ in Bethel Springs, TN. He holds a number of gospel meetings each year as well as gives lectures on other occasions. He has participated in public debates discussing such topics as baptism, instrumental music, the Godhead, miraculous gifts, and Holy Spirit baptism. He conducts seminars on Christian evidences, Christian ethics, and church growth.
He has always had an interest in classic cars. And has built many custom cars and streetrods.
