EDU 611, School Business Management
Those taking EDU 611
EDU 611, School Business Management
- Carefully read the syllabus regarding
assignments and expectations
- Purchase and review the required
textbook, highlighting significant
portions
- Begin collecting required materials
through assignments given as it relates
to student teaching or the third year of
teaching experience. This material should
be carefully placed in a clinical
portfolio and organized
in the manner outlined. Be sure to have
in the portfolio all assignments.
However, students will want to add
materials specific to their particular
situation and setting. This is an
extremely important requirement. Be sure
to be thorough, take time to make it look
professional and follow the instructions.
- Purchase from the ETS website (or
call and purchase) the Praxis study
guides appropriate to the particular
tests required for your area of
licensure. These can be found by going to
the Praxis link on the Student
Information Site. Now is the time to
obtain copies for those taking the Praxis
in the spring. Go to
http://www.ets.org/praxis/prxorder.html
- Plan to attend the Praxis
Workshop on February 22 (Saturday)
at Harding Academy or on March
22 on the FHU campus.
This is required of those who have not already
passed all parts of the
Praxis.
- Remember that preparing for the
Praxis is extremely important. No
teaching license can be obtained without
passing scores. An Interim B license is
no longer available to fall back upon.
- The final EDU 611interview is the
time and place where application is made
for your license. To do so, you must
have: all EDU 530 assignments ready to
present, official copies of your
undergraduate transcripts and both
regular and clinical portfolios.
- Email jmurphy@fhu.edu
if you have any questions or concerns
regarding EDU 530.
- Required videos are located in the
FHU Loden-Daniel Library and the Memphis
graduate office. You view them there.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to
check them out.
